The Antholz Valley is part of the Dolomites Region Kronplatz and lies within the Rieserferner-Ahrn / Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park – a landscape shaped by untouched nature, living traditions, and genuine hospitality.
To preserve this unique place to live and relax, we as the local tourism association are committed to sustainable development – for our guests, the local community, and future generations.
Our work is based on the four pillars of sustainability: ecological, economic, social, and cultural. Together with local partners, we promote mindful action, regional value creation, and the responsible use of natural resources.
At present, we are working – together with the Olang Tourism Association and supported by IDM South Tyrol – on certification according to the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), to ensure that tourism in the valley remains sustainable in the long term.
So that future generations can also experience the full diversity of the Antholz Valley.
Each place in the Antholz Valley contributes in its own way to the diversity and character of the valley – from quiet villages to lively meeting points full of tradition, warmth, and scenic beauty. Together, they form what makes the Antholz Valley so special.
When exploring the valley, you’ll quickly notice: every place has its own story – and invites you to discover it.

As a member of the Vitalpina Hotels South Tyrol, the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Antholz combines relaxation with responsibility. Regional products, careful use of resources, and participation in turn to zero highlight a clear goal: a climate-neutral holiday that’s good for you – and for the environment.
In the Antholz Valley, we actively shape the sustainable development of our valley – ecologically, economically, socially, and culturally.
Our goal is to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of this unique region while promoting responsible tourism. Together with local partners, we work to protect resources, strengthen regional cycles, and raise awareness for mindful cooperation – today and for future generations.
With great joy, Rasen-Antholz can now officially call itself a Climate Municipality Silver.
This recognition, awarded as part of the Climate Municipality Program, confirms our shared commitment to climate and environmental protection.
The certification as a Climate Municipality Silver marks another important milestone on our path toward a climate-friendly and future-oriented community.
Together, we are shaping a sustainable future – for ourselves and for generations to come.
